Why Midwives Can Be So Incredibly Important
Nice to see one of the photos I took in South Sudan a few years ago still being used for a very important campaign by Save the Children. I remember so well the dedication of midwife Eva despite being up against all odds in a rural area of South Sudan. So many of the stories I heard on that trip were harrowing, so many parents had lost their newborn babies for such simple reasons that trained midwives can help to prevent.
Read the article, check out the photos and hear Justin Forsyth being interviewed on BBC Radio 4 here.
And of course, sign up to Save the Children’s campaign.
